Our Programs

Investing in BU means ensuring that talent, not geography, determines who gets to participate in Israel’s future.

  • TECHNOLOGICAL EXCELLENCE

TRACK 1 · TECHNOLOGICAL EXCELLENCE

A pathway from opportunity to technological excellence.

For young people from the periphery, the route into Israel’s leading technology units and high-tech industry is often the hardest to reach. BU combines hands-on STEM education, mentorship and preparation for the next step, from school to IDF service and beyond.

The Pathway:

  • GRADE 9 Introduction to AI: An introduction to Python and AI, culminating in a hackathon.
  • PRE-ENLISTMENT: Bootcamps, resilience workshops and IDF screening preparation to support optimal placement.
  • GRADES 10–12: Approximately 450 hours of programming and projects, with specializations in machine learning, cyber, product, deep tech and engineering.
  • AFTER SERVICE · Data analyst AI: Enablement lead Data Analytics, AI Enablement and DevOps Training and academic mentoring to help graduates seamlessly enter university and the high-tech industry.
  • The next chapter - Beit Udi:  In July 2026, BU laid the cornerstone for Beit Udi, a national STEM hub in Be’er Sheva that will bring labs, industry mentors, researchers and students together.
  • SOCIAL LEADERSHIP

TRACK 2 · SOCIAL LEADERSHIP

Connecting leadership. Shared action.

A strong society needs young people who can listen across differences and work together. Social leadership is where BU began. Its programs build bridges through sustained relationships, shared responsibility and hands-on community service.

The Pathway:

  • A selective, three-year after-school leadership program for grades 10–12. In 2026–27, 33 groups are active across diverse municipalities, bringing together religious, secular and traditional teens for weekly meetings and year-round volunteering.
  • An in-school, three-year leadership program in partnership with ORT Israel, embedding identity, social responsibility and meaningful community service directly into the school day. The program has expanded to ~700 students in 2026–27.

Leadership in action

Our participants organize community projects, support bereaved families and lead national events. The 2026 Unity March brought together about 3,200 teenagers from diverse Israeli communities. Leadership program students design their own community projects and engage in structured encounters across Israeli society.
